Terms & Conditions
Last Updated: 18 April 2025 · Effective: 18 April 2025
1. About These Terms
These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Stovish website and your enrolment in any Stovish reading programme or workshop. Please read them carefully before submitting an enquiry or enrolment request.
Stovish is an educational reading organisation located at 12 Marina Boulevard, #18-01, Marina Bay Financial Centre, Singapore 018982. We operate financial education reading programmes and discussion-led workshops for adults aged 40 and above in Singapore.
By using this website or by enrolling in a programme, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use this website or submit an enrolment request.
2. Nature of Our Programmes
All Stovish programmes — including the Pension Reading Programme, the Family Finance Reading Workshop, and the Mid-Life Planning Reading Circle — are educational and reading-led in nature. They are designed to improve participants' familiarity with public documentation, household financial vocabulary, and intergenerational conversation frameworks.
No advice is given. Stovish does not provide financial advice, investment advice, tax advice, legal advice, or any other form of regulated advisory service. Nothing communicated in our sessions, materials, newsletters, or correspondence should be understood as a recommendation, endorsement, or guidance in relation to any financial product, investment, or personal financial decision.
Participants with questions about their personal financial circumstances are encouraged to consult a licensed financial adviser regulated by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), a solicitor, or another appropriately qualified professional.
3. Eligibility
Stovish programmes are open to adults aged 40 and above resident or based in Singapore, unless a specific programme states a different age range. The Mid-Life Planning Reading Circle is designed for participants aged 42 to 55.
We reserve the right to decline an enrolment if we consider, in our reasonable judgement, that a programme is not well-suited to the enquiring participant. In such cases, any payment received will be returned in full.
4. Enrolment and Payment
Enrolment is confirmed upon receipt of payment in full. Cohort places are limited — a maximum of twelve participants per cohort — and are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
Programme fees are as follows:
| Programme | Fee (SGD) |
|---|---|
| Pension Reading Programme | S$140 |
| Family Finance Reading Workshop | S$870 |
| Mid-Life Planning Reading Circle | S$240 |
All fees are quoted in Singapore dollars and are inclusive of materials unless otherwise stated. Payment details will be provided upon confirmation of availability.
5. Cancellation and Refunds
Cancellation by participant: If you wish to cancel your enrolment, please notify us in writing at [email protected]. Cancellations received more than 14 calendar days before the first session of your cohort are eligible for a full refund. Cancellations received within 14 calendar days of the first session are not eligible for a refund, except in circumstances of documented illness or family emergency at our discretion.
Cancellation by Stovish: In the event that a cohort does not reach the minimum number of participants required to proceed, or is cancelled due to circumstances outside our control, enrolled participants will receive a full refund within 10 business days. We will not be liable for any additional costs incurred as a consequence of such cancellation.
Transfers: Requests to transfer enrolment to a later cohort of the same programme will be considered on a case-by-case basis and are subject to availability. Please write to us at least 7 days before the first session.
6. Programme Materials
Materials provided as part of a programme — including printed reference binders, glossary cards, conversation guides, scenario cards, reflection journals, and worksheet cards — are for the personal educational use of the enrolled participant only.
Materials may not be reproduced, distributed, sold, or used in any commercial or instructional capacity without the prior written consent of Stovish. Cohort summary newsletters distributed to participants may not be forwarded, published, or redistributed in any form.
7. Conduct in Sessions
Stovish sessions are designed to be considered, respectful discussion spaces. Participants are expected to engage with the reading materials and each other in a manner consistent with a collegial reading circle. We ask that participants allow others to contribute without interruption and treat facilitators and fellow participants courteously at all times.
We reserve the right to ask a participant to withdraw from a session or cohort if their conduct is disruptive, disrespectful, or otherwise incompatible with the programme environment. In such circumstances, no refund will be issued for the remaining sessions.
8. Intellectual Property
All content on the Stovish website — including text, layout, design, and programme descriptions — is owned by or licensed to Stovish and is protected under applicable Singapore intellectual property law. You may read and print pages from this website for your personal, non-commercial use only.
You may not reproduce, redistribute, or use any part of this website for commercial purposes without our written permission. Linking to our homepage is permitted; framing or mirroring any part of this website is not.
9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Singapore law, Stovish shall not be liable for any loss, cost, or damage arising directly or indirectly from your participation in a programme, your use of programme materials, or any decision you make in connection with content discussed in a session.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud, or for any other liability which cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under Singapore law.

11. Governing Law
